Labelens ("we", "our", or "the app") is a food product scanner app. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the app.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. We have no servers. There are no user accounts, no registration, and no login required.

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is saved exclusively on your device using local storage:

• Your display name (optional)
• Your health goal (optional)
• Your food intolerances (optional)
• Your product scan history

This data never leaves your device and can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the app.

4. Third-Party Services

The app communicates with the following external services:

• Open Food Facts (openfoodfacts.org) — an open, non-profit food database. When you scan a barcode, the barcode number is sent to their API to retrieve product information. No personal data is transmitted. Their privacy policy →

5. Camera Permission

The app requests access to your device camera solely to scan barcodes. Camera images are processed on-device and are never stored or transmitted.

6. Children's Privacy

The app does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. It contains no advertising and requires no account creation.

We may update this policy occasionally. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
